Do Rectangular Paint Bucket Moulds Require Nitriding Or Heat Treatment?
When making rectangular paint bucket molds, in order to improve their service life and performance, it is necessary to process the molds. Two processing methods, nitriding and heat treatment, are widely used in the processing of molds. However, for paint bucket molds, we recommend using nitriding technology for processing.
Nitriding is a modern surface treatment method that can significantly improve the hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance of molds. In nitriding treatment, the mold surface is exposed to high temperature (500-600 ℃) and nitrogen gas environment, allowing the nitrogen element on the mold surface to penetrate into the surface layer of the mold. This can greatly improve the hardness of the mold, and significantly enhance the surface wear resistance, compressive strength, and corrosion resistance.
In contrast, heat treatment methods expose molds to high temperatures and air environments during quenching, tempering, and other processing processes, and their processing effects are affected by many factors. 1) Mould external gauge
