The following types of moulds often require a hot runner system:

1.High-precision moulds
For products with high precision requirements in size and shape, such as some electronic components and optical lenses. The hot runner system can more accurately control the temperature of the melt and the injection process, reducing the influence of temperature fluctuations on the product and improving the dimensional accuracy and consistency of the parts.

2.Thin-wall moulds
When molding thin-wall products, the melt needs to flow quickly and evenly in the mould cavity to ensure complete filling. The hot runner system can maintain the fluidity of the melt by precisely controlling the temperature, enabling better filling of thin-walled parts and reducing the occurrence of defects such as short shots.

3.Multi-cavity moulds
In multi-cavity moulds, in order to ensure the uniformity of the melt entering each cavity and the consistency of the parts in different cavities, the hot runner system can independently control the temperature and flow of each nozzle, improving the balance of the melt distribution and the quality stability of the parts in multiple cavities.
4.High-volume production moulds
For moulds used in high-volume production, the hot runner system can reduce material waste and production costs. Because it does not have cold runners that need to be removed and discarded after each injection, it can save a lot of raw materials and reduce the production cycle, thereby improving production efficiency.
5.Thermosensitive material molds
Some thermosensitive materials have a narrow processing temperature range and are easily affected by temperature changes. Using a hot runner system can accurately control the temperature of the melt to ensure the quality of the molded parts and prevent material degradation or performance changes caused by improper temperature control.
