Plastic materials commonly used for injection molding parts include the following:

‌ 1.Polypropylene (PP) ‌ : PP is a colorless transparent or certain luster granular plastic, with good fluidity, excellent formability, excellent heat resistance and so on. It is commonly used in the automotive industry (such as fenders, ventilation ducts, fans, etc.), appliances (such as dishwasher door liners, dryer ventilation ducts), and consumer goods (such as lawn and garden equipment) ‌.

Specific gravity :0.9-0.91 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :1.0-2.5%

Molding temperature: 160-220℃

‌ 2.Polystyrene (PS) ‌ : PS is a colorless transparent, glossy granular plastic, with good optical properties, excellent electrical properties and so on. It is commonly used in product packaging, household goods (such as tableware, trays, etc.) and electrical (such as transparent containers, light source scatters) ‌.

Specific gravity :1.05 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :0.6-0.8%

Molding temperature: 170-250℃

Dry conditions: --

‌ 3.Nylon (PA) ‌ : Nylon is a kind of engineering plastic, with high mechanical strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and other characteristics. It is commonly used in the manufacture of structural components and bearings, especially where high strength and wear resistance are required .

‌ 4.Polyformaldehyde (POM) ‌ : POM has excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance, and is often used in the manufacture of precision parts and gears. It also has good solvent resistance and dimensional stability, but poor thermal stability ‌.

Specific gravity :1.41-1.43 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :1.2-3.0%

Molding temperature: 170-200℃

Drying condition: 80-90℃ for 2 hours

‌ 5.Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) ‌ : ABS is a high-strength modified polystyrene with excellent impact resistance and surface hardness. It is commonly used in electronics, toys and home repair equipment .

Specific gravity :1.05 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :0.4-0.7%

Molding temperature: 200-240℃

Drying condition: 80-90℃ for 2 hours

‌6.Polycarbonate (PC) ‌ : PC is a transparent, impact-resistant plastic commonly used to make eyeglass lenses, CD cases and other optical products ‌.

Specific gravity :1.18-1.20 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :0.5-0.8%

Molding temperature: 230-320℃

Drying condition: 110-120℃ for 8 hours

7. Polyethylene(PE): Corrosion resistance, excellent electrical insulation (especially high frequency insulation), can be chlorinated, modified by irradiation, and reinforced by glass fiber. Low pressure polyethylene has high melting point, rigidity, hardness and strength, low water absorption, good electrical properties and radiation resistance; High pressure polyethylene has good softness, elongation, impact strength and permeability. Uhmwpe has high impact strength, fatigue resistance and wear resistance.

Specific gravity :0.94-0.96 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :1.5-3.6%

Molding temperature: 140-220℃

8. Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA): Excellent transparency, high strength, a certain heat and cold resistance, corrosion resistance, good insulation, comprehensive can exceed polystyrene, but the quality is brittle, easy to melt in organic solvents, such as transparent materials, its surface hardness is slightly lower, easy to wipe.

Specific gravity :1.18 g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :0.5-0.7%

Molding temperature: 160-230℃

Drying conditions: 70-90℃ for 4 hours

9.Polyamide(PA): Tough, wear resistant, oil resistant, water resistant, resistant to enzyme bacteria, but water absorption. Nylon 6 good elasticity, high impact strength, greater water absorption Nylon 66 performance is better than nylon 6, high strength, good wear resistance Nylon 610 and nylon 66 similar, but small water absorption, low stiffness Nylon 1010 translucent, small water absorption, better cold resistance.

Specific gravity: PA6-1.14g/cm ³ PA66-1.15g/cm ³ PA1010-1.05g/cm ³

Molding shrinkage :PA6-0.8-2.5% PA66-1.5-2.2%

Molding temperature: 220-300℃

Drying condition: 100-110℃ for 12 hours
